I'd managed to clean 8 out of 11 reels with no trouble (simple round reels) before I started on my three shimanos. I gave up and sent one Curado, and two Castaics to ReelMechanic. Got them back yesterday, and they feel better than when when new!!! He sent me a note telling me what all he found wrong with the Curado (after I'd got through with it ), and all I can say is lesson learned. It's a lot easier to let Dave's fingers do the walking Thanks Dave. You get my business from now on

I am really happy with the service you rendered on my reels. I tell ya--I believe they work better now than they did before I sent them. I've only used one of the 50MG and the 201SF. I tell ya, it was well worth the money to me.

Mr ReelMech services my reels with the outstanding service/quality you described. He is an asset to the BR.com community for his generous sharing of knowledge. There are some professional members of the community who use the forums as a way to promote themselves without "giving back" in the way of free advice etc. Reelmech is not one of them. We are fortunate to have a bona fide rod and reel expert so willing to help.

Just got my Accurist PT back this evening that ReelMech had serviced for me! Boy, what a difference a QUALITY service center provides!!! From start to finish, he let me know everything from how to pack it, to when he received it, to the details of what the reel needed, to when it was shipping out and when to expect it (tracking number)! You have one TOP NOTCHED service center ReelMech! Keep up the GREAT work!!!! Even though I really enjoy workin (minor things) on my reels, I'm planning on rotating my baitcasters through at least once a year for a cleaning or any time I have a problem too big for me to handle! I know some you have used ReelMech in the past, but those of you that haven't, give him a try! You won't be disappointed with the results!!! I'm not! Thanks again ReelMech!!!

Hey All.........I received ReelMech's book on servicing baitcasting reels in the mail yesterday. I have to tell you that this is probably the BEST deal for this kind of guide ever! It has all kinds of illustrations about servicing your reels and some top notch info on how to go about it and at a VERY reasonable price. I would HIGHLY recommend this to ANYONE wanting to service your own reels. Thank you so much ReelMech! It was better than I ever expected!!!!

ReelMech has a service like no other. I placed an order with him over the internet late Wednesday night. The order was filled that night, placed in the mail on Thursday, and was sitting waiting for me Saturday morning. I could not believe it. I also agree with Deuceu72, that baitcasting servicing book is great. It gives you some great ideas on disassembling and organizing your reel parts and really spells out what you should oil, grease, clean, or just wipe off with a rag. The book is highly recommended. I hope ReelMech comes out with a book on servicing spinning reels. Thanks ReelMech for the good products and service.

I'm exactly the same......one thing, the reels that you get back are not the same that you've sent him , they may look alike but you would realize that they are not the first time that you cast one of them. PHENOMENALS!!!!!

I sent ReelMech a couple of reels right after Thanksgiving. I thought to myself, "I'm in Massachusetts; why the heck am I sending my reels to be serviced in Kansas, for heaven's sake, when I can get them serviced right around here?" Well, I'm a convert. The reels were back before I realized they were gone, and they work smooth as silk and as silent as a bass lurking in cover. A first-class gentleman and craftsman.
