Smooooth Bearing Upgrades

ABEC 5 specification Stainless Steel & Ceramic replacement bearings for most of the reels I service. These bearings are made to closer tolerances than stock bearings, and in most cases, they are also less expensive than the factory bearings I get. Replacement of stock bearings with ABEC 5 Stainless Steel Or Ceramic bearings, properly lubricated with with my quality reel oil, can make a significant improvement in a reels performance resulting in:

Smoother overall reel operation
Noticeably longer casts and pitches

But no matter what reel, proper adjustment of your spool shaft end play and brake weights or magnetic brake, will be a must to realize the benefits of the ABEC5 or any bearing upgrades.
